24 Jan

About 3 and a half moths ago I began a new venture with my two beautiful cousins. We set up a humble cafe on Shelly Beach in East Ballina. We came across the venue through a friend and when we first looked at it it was a mess, sure it had gas and plumbing connections but that was about all it had going for it, well that, the location of coarse and the amazing glass frontage that creates the most amazing light all day long. So just after we finished the last coat of paint I couldn't help but get a crew together and do a little shoot. This is a glimpse what came out of it.

Surf Sister

Surf Sister online magazine recently did a piece on JBJ. To say thanks I am giving them a plug here on my website.

Surf Sister is the first independent Australian based online magazine published for female surfers. Surf Sister focuses its content around the culture of woman’s surfing. Based in Byron Bay the team that run surf sister I'm guessing would have a pretty great life. I myself have never surfed I have however been on a board out in the big blue and I love the feeling of it out there. Downfall is I get pretty scared of sharks and find the paddling out process extremely taxing. So between the fear of sharks and the repetitive arm torture my body ends up being extremely tense, tight, hard and uncomfortable so I never pursued it. Although an ocean swim really does make a girl feel awesome!

Dressing Tables

I recently set up a dressing table for myself and I absolutely love it. Just now I was considering is the dressing table a thing of the past or do a lot of women have dressing tables? It's a new thing for me but maybe it is super common. I just think they are awesome, I can sit down and dry my hair! I admire myself in the mirror while I rummage through my jewellery choosing which rings to wear. All my makeup is at arms reach, also it encourages me to look at myself and realize hey I am a beautiful woman!

Love it!

I recently made space in a new apartment for a dressing table, which I have always wanted, and I love it! I really enjoy sitting while getting myself ready for the day. And thanks for posting, so much fun to share the joy :)

Glorious Music

Glorious Music

So Splendour returned home to Byron -  heaps of people are pretty happy about this, and I'm sure some not so happy. Splendour is good for business so I have welcomed the return…. in saying that I can see the destruction and self-abuse that unfortunately comes along with music festivals. So really I have mixed feelings about it. I saw a few police scenarios over the weekend, as well as a lot of hung-over people in the mornings at the café where I work. So it seems music festivals go hand in hand with drugs and alcohol…. I know this not only from what I see now, but because I spent many years going to festivals and concerts myself. Most of which I cannot remember as I was so out of it. I am sure this is not everyone's experience but there was a lot of people in my day that were pretty messed up on something. So I do see the issues that are around a festival like this.  Changing the location of the festival may get rid of noise issues etc., but the true destruction of a festival like this is not fixed by changing the place where it is held.

Obviously I did not attend Splendour as it would be in contradiction to my words. What did I do you say? I spent my weekend with family, and the highlight was a concert I attended performed by Glorious Music with Michael Benhayon, Miranda Benhayon, and Emmalee Benhayon as well as a few special guests.

In all my years of attending music concerts this is what I was looking for. The concert was amazing. Kids were up the front dancing and safe, and the audience was held in an amazing warmth which comes through the music. There was so much love in the room…… no ecstasy needed! Not sappy hippy creepy love, but genuine love that makes you realize that this is possible. It made me consider some things. My customers may not know this, but Serge Benhayon, his family and Universal Medicine have been under attack recently in the press. As you know from my previous post I have a huge amount of respect for the work that Serge does.

He and the practitioners at Universal Medicine have helped so many people over the years. This is what should be focussed on in the press. Anyway, what I was contemplating at the concert was the ludicrous notion that Serge is running some harmful cult. When I looked around I saw families, partners, teenagers, genuinely joyfull and well faces having an amazing time. Then I thought of the cult music scene and remembered back to festivals and looking around at people with mud all over them  -   pupils dilated, jaws clenched, faces just generally distorted, the occasional person vomiting, the violence that occurs from excessive alcohol and aggression. And I thought to myself, if this is a cult I would much rather be here and a part of this love than where I was before I met Serge. Where was I before you say? I was in the mud with the rest of them -  desperately seeking love. I was a part of a group that said taking drugs, drinking alcohol, and disrespecting myself was okay. Now I have a new found love for myself and I say; no, I wont abuse my body and I will do what feels right for me in every moment. If that is something to be ridiculed then there is something wrong in the world. If you would like to know more about Glorious Music go to www.gloriousmusic.com.au.

Awesome

hi Jacqui, Love the way that you express so easily about how you have lived and are now choosing to live. Simple and amazing.

Pyramid Pendant, Serge Benhayon & Universal Medicine

 Pyramid Pendant

Serge Benhayon

I get a lot of people asking ‘what does the triangle mean’ so I thought it was about time I let all my customers know.

Here is a little back-story. About 6 years ago I got quite sick. Nothing life threatening but I was unwell. It was then I was introduced to a man named Serge Benhayon known as the healer’s healer. I had a few sessions with him at Universal Medicine his local clinic, and it was not until after these sessions that I was feeling like myself again and was ready to heal.

Since then I have been a frequenter of the Universal Medicine clinic and all it has to offer, which is a lot.

So what about the triangle? I also attend the courses that Serge Benhayon presents. In the courses you learn heaps about your true self and many other life useful subjects. One of the things I took with me was the importance of certain angles; as taught by Serge’s teachings from the Ancient Wisdom. What is significant about the pyramid pendant is the degrees in the angles. The triangle is 51° 51’. This angle, as known using ancient numerology, assists the body in clearing ill energy. Not only the body, but when used like I have in the pendant, the body is the focus for the clearing. The pyramid has been used for centuries and I am sure will continue to be.

Customers do not necessarily know the meaning behind it but the feedback speaks for itself. I have people I don’t know stopping me in the street to tell me how they just love their triangle pendant. Customers do not take it off and express that when they wear it they feel amazing.

So thank you Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine for re-introducing me to the magic that is in us all.

Thanks Jacqueline ~ I'd seen these but not appreciated their significance!
